Synopsis
From the producing team, that won an Academy Award for Born Into Brothels, "WHO DOES SHE THINK SHE IS?" examines some of the most pressing issues of our time: parenting and creativity, partnering and independence, economics and art.
The film follows five women artists as they navigate the challenges of making work outside the elite art world.
"Boll's film reveals that mothers in the arts ... face the very same imbalance in their lives as mothers slogging through 80 hour work weeks to climb the corporate ladder. Artists or not, mothers will be inspired and empowered by Who Does She Think She Is?" -Heather Cabot, The Huffington Post
Includes interviews with experts; Riane Eisler (The Chalice and the Blade), The Guerrilla Girls, Maura Reilly (Sackler Center for Feminist Art, Brooklyn Museum) and Leonard Shlain (The Alphabet vs. The Goddess).
